A TEENAGER has been arrested and a quantity of drugs have been seized following a raid in Taunton.

Officers raided a property in Duke Street on Saturday (November 24) at 2.30pm and seized a quantity of cash, a mobile phone and a quantity of drugs.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and concern in the supply of drugs.

He has been released under investigation.

Police Sgt Andy Gloyne, said: “This was proactive action by us to carry out a welfare check of vulnerable people in our on-going action to disrupt serious and organised crime and County Lines drug activity.

“We hope our action will reassure the local community, demonstrating that we are taking positive action to combat illegal drug activity in Taunton.”
