FROM The Chase to quiz night, TV's Paul Sinha hosted an annual charity event in Taunton.

He asked the questions at a quiz night in aid of Stand Against Violence at Taunton Vale Sports Club.

He told organisers it was one of the best events he'd attended, adding that there was plenty of energy - even on the trickier questions.

The evening raised £1,400 through ticket sales and a raffle, which will help keep an estimated 466 young people safe from violence.

A Stand Against Violence spokesman said: "We'd like to say a huge thank you to Paul for hosting the quiz, Taunton Vale Sports Club for donating their space and fantastic staff for the evening, everybody who donated a raffle prize and all the guests for coming and making this year’s annual quiz another great success."

SAV was set up by Adam Fouracre in memory of his brother Lloyd, who was murdered by drunken thugs on the eve of his 18th birthday after attending a party at the club in September 2005.
