Tidal barrier
A DROP-IN session giving the latest information on the Bridgwater Tidal Barrier Scheme will be held on Friday, December 7 between 10am and 6.30pm at St Mary’s Church in Bridgwater.
The exhibition will explain what is proposed to be built, what it will look like, how it will work and the steps that are being taken to ensure that any impacts are kept to a minimum.
Staff from the Environment Agency and Sedgemoor District Council will be on hand to answer questions and listen to any comments or concerns.
The Bridgwater tidal barrier and downstream defence works will see 11,300 homes protected as well as 1,500 non-residential properties such as shops and offices.
For more information about the project visit sedgemoor.gov.uk/bridgwaterbarrier or email Bridgwater.barrier@environment-agency.gov.uk.
