A SOMERSET recruitment agency has been announced as winners of a prestigious award.

The recruitment agency was given the award from the Institute of Recruitment Professionals.

The company’s Chard branch manage Adriana Britobrito won in the category for ‘Jobs Transform Lives: Best Candidate Experience’.

The awards, hosted by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), were given out at a ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on Thursday, November 29.

A spokesman for the company said: “We’re proud to announce that Adriana Brito Brito was the winner.

“She was up against some of the nations finest and most established agencies, but her passionate candidate focused service secured her an overwhelming win.

“Adriana has worked at One Step for more than years and very quickly established herself as the heart and soul of our Chard Office.

“She started as a humble but hard working Administrator and through an insatiable appetite to give the best service she could possibly give she shot up the ranks at One Step to become the branch manager and top billing consultant in our independent agency.”

REC chief executive Neil Carberry said: “Our celebration of everything that is brilliant about our industry was particularly special as the 10th Institute of Recruitment Professionals Awards and it was our biggest yet.
