POLICE APPEAL: Attempted robbery in Hammet Street, Taunton
TWO friends walking in the street were assaulted after they were approached by two other men during an attempted late night robbery off Taunton town centre.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the two assailants demanded one of the men's wallet before both innocent men were assaulted.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident in Hammet Street, Taunton, at around 11.20pm on Friday, November 23.
Police are appealing to witnesses in the area at that time who saw anything to contact them on 101, quoting reference 5218261004 and asking to speak to PC Mark Seward.
