TRICK or treaters in the Rowbarton area of Taunton collected donations for Taunton Foodbank rather than sweets for themselves.
Generous locals donated almost 80kg of food to North Taunton Scouts, Cubs and Beavers at the end of October.
The children have now been to the foodbank to hand over the supplies.
During their visit, they learnt about food poverty and the reasons why people need the important donations. They then helped source and pack various food parcels for families.
A North Taunton Scout Group spokesman said: "We'd like to thank those residents who donated food for their generosity and to thank Taunton Foodbank for the time they gave us into understanding food poverty and how it can affect anybody."
