Audience members, young and old, had a ball at Venue Cymru on Saturday night as pantomime season got underway in Llandudno.

There was something for everyone in this year’s pantomime, Cinderella, from adult jokes and hit music from the Greatest Showman and The Wanted to the classic storyline of the fairytale everyone has come to know and love.

Bobby Delaney, Claudia, and Stephen McGlynn, Tess, had the adults in stitches and the kids booing them off stage as the duo played the roles of the ugly step sisters eager to find a man - taking a fancy to one or two in the crowd.

The duo shone throughout the show combining with Dawson Chance and Herbie Adams as Baron Hardup and Buttons respectively to provide plenty of laughs.

Chance’s use of puppets was ingenious with the likes of Willy the Turtle and Bruce the Kangaroo from the nearby zoo just a few of his friends which offered plenty for the adults with below the belt humour.

While Adams had the kids in the audience well and truly involved in the show, giving them plenty of opportunities to yell and scream.

Carly Burns did a fantastic job as Cinderella portraying the classic role beautifully while also demonstrating her quality singing voice.

Tom Parker has more than a little bit of experience when it comes to singing, as a member of The Wanted.

In his role as Prince Charming he had a plenty of opportunities to show off this skill through a variety of songs he made famous in his role in The Wanted as well as numbers from the popular movie The Greatest Showman.

Natalie Winsor and Llandudno-grown talent Chris Bewsher topped off a talented cast with their portrayals of the Fairy Godmother and Dandini respectively - both playing important roles in making sure Cinderella and Prince Charming find true love.

The cast were supported by the amazing dancers from the Pearl Shaw School of Performing Arts. The young dancers were fantastic as they took to their role with great professionalism.

The writers of the show had obviously done their homework with a lots of jokes and songs including the names of towns from within the area which definitely hit the mark with members of the audience.

Adams even managed to sign off the show with a Welsh Merry Christmas.

The costumes added to the characters flare with left nothing to the imagination. The ugly step sisters costumes were always eye catching and Cinderella's ball gown was one that could have fitted in to a real life Royal Ball.

The backdrops effortlessly transported us from the streets outside the castle and shops of Llandudno to Hardup manor and the living quarters of Cinderella and the ugly step sisters.
