A TREE has been planted at Richard Huish College in memory of a former teacher who died of breast cancer last year.

Karen Revans worked at the college in Taunton from 1994-2013. She took early retirement due to ill health and sadly passed away in May 2017 aged 56.

She taught A Level chemistry and physics, ran the college's debating teams and co-ordinated entries to Oxbridge universities.

A spokesman for the college said: "Karen's golden acer tree takes pride of place amid the new staff garden. This comes as part of the college's drive to add more greenery and ecology to its campus, which Karen would have loved."
