THERE'S still time to get your hands on a piece of Taunton's history - although the clock is ticking.
Bids have been put in for the two timers salvaged from the now demolished former swimming pool, in St James Street.
Offers of £200 for one and £351 for the other have been lodged with contractors L. A. Moore, who flattened the 88-year-old baths last month.
Anyone interested in securing them has until midnight on Monday (December 17) to make a higher bid - you can e-mail the amount you wish to bid to the company's operations manager Trish Schroeder at demolition@lamooreltd.co.uk
Once sold, a cheque will be handed to homeless charity Arc to help fund Christmas lunch for a number of homeless people in the town.
The charity will also received 100 mince pies donated by Burns the Bread, while L. A. Moore is running a draw to raise money to buy 75 sweat shirts for Arc clients.
St James Pool was demolished ahead of a development of shops, offices, flats, restaurants and a gym on and around Coal Orchard Car Park.
