ON behalf of the Executive of the League of Friends Musgrove Park Hospital, may I thank all the volunteers who have helped in the shop and on the trolley service along with people in the community who have donated, raised money or left legacies during 2018.
Thanks to all these efforts, the League of Friends has not only be able to contribute £100,000 towards the MRI Appeal but also purchased new electric profiling beds and specialist mattresses, funded a new X-Ray machine along with many small grants which have helped patients, relatives and staff.
We were particularly pleased to be able to support the purchase of Droplets Mugs which help with dehydration and which Musgrove Park Hospital is a pioneer in its use.
2019 is a special year for the League of Friends Musgrove Park Hospital as it will be 60 years since it was formed during which time over £6million has been given to the hospital.
To mark this special year the League of Friends Musgrove Park Hospital will be working with the staff and midwives of Bracken Ward to raise £300,000 to improve the facilities and install an additional birthing pool.
A sincere thank you to everyone who has supported the League of Friends Musgrove Park Hospital enabling us to provide equipment to the hospital.
PETER RENSHAW
Chairman
