A HOTEL on the edge of Exmoor has a new owner.
Private buyers have scooped up Crosslane House, in Allerford, after securing the leasehold for £125,000.
The deal for the award-winning hotel was brokered by Colliers International.
Ed Jefferson from Colliers International’s Hotels team said: “With four stunning rooms, a characterful bar and restaurant the boutique hotel is immaculately furnished throughout.
“Totally renovated by the National Trust to provide a luxurious and relaxed environment, the Grade II listed hotel is surrounded by stunning grounds and makes an ideal base for exploring Exmoor and the South West Coastal Path. Beautifully preserved, it’s popular with visitors all year round.
“Crosslane House has been completely and authentically restored to offer the very best in Somerset hospitality. It offers the most stylish and contemporary facilities in a quietly comfortable and authentically rustic setting.”

Situated just off the A39 on the National Trust-owned Holnicote Estate, Allerford is famous for its Packhorse Bridge and nestles below the ancient Selworthy Woods.
Vendor, Roy Butlin, said: “We received an excellent result which in this economic climate was more than we had expected.
"We know we were really lucky to achieve the relatively unobtrusive sale at the price we did.”
