TAUNTON Town have announced a sixth player contract extension this week, with vice-captain Shane White agreeing to stay at the club through to the summer of 2020.
The ever-reliable and ever-versatile defender/midfielder joined the Peacocks in October 2016 from Truro City, having previously played for Plymouth Argyle, Weymouth, Falmouth Town and St Blazey.
Since then he's helped them reach the first round proper of the FA Cup, embark on a 35-game unbeaten run, and win promotion to Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South.
He's played on the left, right and centre of defence this season, featuring in every game before sustaining a fractured cheek in the defeat to Merthyr Town on New Year's Day.
White joins Ben Adelsbury, Ryan Brett, Ollie Chamberlain, Ed Palmer and Andrew Neal in committing to the Peacocks until next summer, as the club targets a place in the National League.
