A MAN has fallen from a lorry near a site of roadworks on a busy road.
Emergency services are at the scene after the man fell at around 8.51am this morning (January 16).
Video footage appears to show a tipper truck on its side next to a low-loader lorry.
A spokesman from Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at around 8.51am to reports a man had fallen from a lorry.
"Officers are currently at the scene and the situation is ongoing."
The man was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital with a head injury.
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service said: "SWASFT paramedics were called to an incident at just before 8.50am to Monkton Heathfield, one male patient was treated on scene and taken to Musgrove Park hospital by land ambulance with a head injury."
The road was closed for some time while emergency services were at the scene.
