JORDAN Storey scored his first goal for Preston North End as the Lilywhites won 4-1 at QPR in the Championship on Saturday.

Storey, 21, grew up in South Petherton and is becoming a regular in the Preston back four following his summer move from Exeter City.

The centre-half opened his Championship account in style, volleying Paul Gallagher's free-kick into the top corner at the far post to put his side 2-0 to the good at Loftus Road.

He was one of three North End players to score their first goals for the club in the victory - Storey's former Exeter teammate Jayden Stockley bagged the opener and Brad Potts put the icing on the cake with the fourth.

Storey, who represented Chard Town Under-18s before being spotted by Exeter, has now made 14 appearances for Alex Neil's side in his first season in the second tier and is going from strength to strength.

His first goal comes just a week after Storey was named man of the match in the previous weekend's 1-1 draw at home to Swansea City.

Saturday's win at QPR kept Preston in 18th and moved them 10 points clear of the bottom three.
