WET weather failed to dampen the spirits of residents in Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge who came out in force to show their support for Cancer Research UK.
More than 40 residents packed into the Morland Community Hall on Saturday (February 9) and shopped until they dropped at a jumble sale.
Visitors enjoyed browsing around a number of stalls at the event including a bric-a-brac stall and clothes stall.
Mandy Porter, organiser of the event, said the sale raised £440.28 for the charity and the event was a big success.
She said: “It was a really fantastic day and everyone who came was very generous with their donations.
“Cancer Research UK is a charity that is very close to my heart as my mum and dad both died of cancer. I will do everything I can to support them as we need to find a cure."
