A NUMBER of trees will be removed from Bridgwater High Street and Fore Street next week from Monday (February 25) ahead of improvement works to the town centre.
Replacement trees will be planted for all those removed, once the work is completed.
They are being removed now ahead of the bird-nesting season.
A Sedgemoor District Council spokesman said: “The main work is scheduled to start in late April /early May and the contractors plan to undertake drop-in sessions a week ahead of the work starting."
