A POPULAR Taunton venue which suddenly closed earlier this month has now reopened.

The Hideout, on Castle Green, closed its doors temporarily at the beginning of February.

In a post on social media, previous bosses from The Hideout, said: "I’m sure you’ve all got your suspicions so we just thought we’d clear the air.

"Hideout is currently closed for business but will be open under new ownership at the end of February.

"This seems to be a common fate among local pubs and restaurants these days and we are devastated to be one of the unlucky ones.

"All of us at Hideout are sad at the end of this chapter but have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our time here. We’ve made many friends and created some lasting memories."

But it seems someone else is ready to take over leadership, as the eatery opened again yesterday evening (February 21).

The kitchen will be opening in the coming weeks.

The new owners said: "We're back.

"Hideout is re-opening under new ownership.

"Come and join us this weekend for a drink and look out for the reopening of the kitchen next week."
