WELLS Comedy festival has announced new shows for its 2019 festival.

The festival, now in its fifth year, welcomes Nick Helm, Hal Cruttenden, Jan Ravens, Spencer Jones, Sarah Kendall and lots more.

Over the bank holiday weekend of May 24-26, England’s smallest city hosts dozens of comedy shows which take place at six venues in Wells, all within walking distance of one another.

Just announced are shows from ‘Uncle’ star and Bafta nominee Nick Helm, ‘Live at the Apollo’s Hal Cruttenden, ‘Dead Ringers’ and ‘Spitting Image’ impressionist Jan Ravens and ‘Upstart Crow’s Spencer Jones.

The festival also welcomes multi-award-winning Radio 4 star Sarah Kendall, ‘Mock the Week’ regular Glenn Moore, Wells favourite Jarred Christmas -The Mighty Kids Beatbox Comedy Show, ‘Derek’ actor Brett Goldstein and one-man sketch collective Goose.

You can also enjoy comedy from stand-up Garrett Millerick, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Lucy Pearman, ‘Borderline’ and ‘Beat The Internet with John Robins’ star Sunil Patel and Comedians Cinema Club’s Matthew Highton.

Plus, as they’ve already sold out their initial shows, extra performances are now on sale for ‘Taskmaster’ loser Phil Wang, ‘Live at the Apollo’ star Ed Gamble, ‘I’m a Celeb’s' Shappi Khorsandi and ‘Mock the Week’ regular Rhys James.
