THE 105th Drama Festival took place this week in Taunton.
Part of Taunton Festival of the Arts, the Speech and Drama festival runs from March 11 to March 15.
The festival is adjudicated by Thalia Squire who trained at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is a member of The Society of Teachers of Speech and Drama. There has been over 300 entrants for a variety of classes, including poetry, acting and Shakespeare.
Taunton festival of the arts run many events over the course of the year for children and young adults. They hold both workshops and competitions that welcome competitors from the South West and further afield.
The festival exists to encourage and promote the performance and enjoyment of arts.
Competitors receive verbal and written adjudication scripts and certificates. Cups, trophies and medals are awarded in some classes. To find out more visit tauntonfestival.org.uk
