WERE you born at Musgrove Park Hospital?

Staff at the hospitals maternity unit want to know as part of their new #MusgroveBabies campaign.

The team want to celebrate the achievements of the babies they helped bring into the world.

More than 175 midwives support the hospital's maternity unit, and they look after 3,300 babies each year.

Sallyann King, head of midwifery at Musgrove Park Hospital, said: “We are very proud of our maternity services so we’re launching this campaign to find out what impact #MusgroveBabies are having across Taunton, Somerset and beyond.

“If you were born at Musgrove or had a child here, please send your photos in. Or, if your friends or family were born here encourage them to get involved and share their photos.”

Miss King said the hospital also wanted to hear people’s stories of the maternity unit and their experiences of its midwives.

She added: “We want to know if your midwife has gone above and beyond to help with a Musgrove birth or if you were born on a significant day, like one of the Queen’s Jubilees or Christmas Day.

“Or maybe you have had a set of twins born either side of the New Year, making one a year younger than the other or have had multiple generations of your family born here. Please let us know your stories.”

To tell your story, post on social media using the hashtag #MusgroveBabies, or send them into the Love Musgrove fundraising office at Musgrove Park Hospital.

The team is asking people to include the baby’s first name, year of birth and your address.

A spokesperson said: "By sending us your pictures you are giving informed consent for us to share/display them as a collage in our hospital concourse area, but if you do not wish for us to share your photos on our social media please let us know."
