FAMILIES can remember lost children in a new babies' memorial garden which was opened at Taunton Deane Crematorium.
Work has been carried out to complement, modernise and extend the existing garden, making it accessible for everyone to pay tribute to a lost child, regardless of where they may have been laid to rest.
Taunton Deane Mayor Cllr Catherine Herbert led last Thursday's ceremony, which was followed by the release of doves and a short remembrance service with poems and readings.
People were also able to write personal letters to put in a remembrance postbox and to also plant memorial bulbs.
