A TAUNTON primary school has raised more than £2,000 for a children’s charity.
The pupils got active to raise vital funds for the NSPCC.
A cheque of £2,149.67 was presented to the charity at the end of March during a special assembly.
A spokesman said: “The pupils at North Town School held a ‘Buddy’s Big Workout’ mini Olympics fundraising event and completed a range of activities including dancing, balancing, throwing, skipping, running, hula hopping and jumping.
“The fundraising event took place alongside assemblies and workshops delivered by the NSPCC in which the children found out more about how to keep themselves safe from harm and how to seek help if they have any worries.”
