A MAN has been arrested following an incident in Taunton which saw armed police called to a fast food restaurant.
Avon and Somerset Police officers were called to KFC in East Street at around 11pm last night (April 13).
The man, who has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, allegedly made threats to staff and demanded cash.
Staff raised the alarm but refused his requests, resulting in the man locking himself in the toilet.

Police evacuated the property and worked to remove the man from the toilets.
A spokesperson said: "Police officers attended and helped to evacuate the property and negotiated with the man to come out of the toilets.
"The door was opened shortly afterwards and the man in his 20s detained and has been taken to hospital
"Armed officers attended as a precaution and to provide community reassurance.
"A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in police custody."
KFC has been contacted for comment.
