A COURT has ordered the arrest of a woman who attacked two people, including a nurse, at Taunton’s Musgrove Park Hospital.
Mia Sutherland, 19, of no fixed address, had previously pleaded guilty to assaulting by beating an emergency worker, namely a nurse, acting in the exercise of her functions as such a worker at the hospital on April 3.
She had been charged under the Assaults on Emergency Workers (Offences Act) of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.
Sutherland had also admitted a similar offence involving another woman on the same date and at the same location, also under the Criminal Justice Act 1988.
Sutherland, who was represented by solicitor Bill Gayer, failed to turn up for a hearing at Taunton Magistrates’ Court last week.
Magistrates granted a warrant for her arrest.
