THERE is something to satisfy every pallette on offer at the Eat: Taunton Festival taking place today (Saturday, May 11) in the town centre.
Hammet Street and the area around St Mary's Church has dozens of stalls offering every flavour imaginable from local producers.
Hundreds of people have been perusing what is on offer throughout the day.
Although the producers are all from Somerset and the South West, there is the chance to savour tastes inspired by all sorts of countries from Italy to Mexico and the Caribbean to Korea.
Food and drink on offer includes gourmet burgers, authentic Somerset cheese, delicious sausage rolls, luxury butchers meats, a hog roast, locally grown fruit and vegetables, fabulous cakes and much, much more.
For those who like their food spicy there are also a number of stalls selling varieties of hot sauce.
As well as all the stalls offering food, there are several specialising in drinks with a pop-up cocktail bar proving very popular, and stalls offering locally brewed beverages and spirits.
There is also live music, stalls offering crafts and a cookery school tent and a variety of amazing aromas as you walk around the festival.
