A TAUNTON mum is desperately appealing for the return of her autistic son's favourite toy.
Hannah Walker says the cuddly cat was last seen at the Hudson Way pirate park in Staplegrove on Monday morning (May 13).
According to Ms Walker, the toy reassures four-year-old Jack and it has been with him through hospital stays and medical appointments.
She said: "Please if anyone’s little one has picked this cat up can I kindly ask it be returned.
"My son left it in the pirate park Staplegrove, and it was seen on the fence literally five minutes before I went to look and it was gone.
"My son has autism and this cat gives my son a great deal comfort it’s the only cuddly he’s attached too and is very upset now.
BEST FRIENDS: Jack and his cat Bob
"This cat has helped comfort him on hospital stays, and many medical intervention through role play.
"Jack is now very anxious Bob is lost.
"Please if anyone as handed it in can you please get in touch with me.
"I’m not cross in anyway we just need this cuddly returned ASAP. This isn’t any old cuddly toy. I can’t give up until he’s back with Jack."
Ms Walker has asked for people to get in touch with her via Facebook if they know the whereabouts of the beloved toy, or to hand it in to Stepping Stones Preschool or Staplegrove Primary School.
