BUSINESSES from across the county took part in the first Somerset Chamber of Commerce Business to Business lunch.

The lunch was held at Frogmary Green Farm, South Petherton, on Tuesday, May 14.

More than 60 guests were able to enjoy welcome drinks and a two-course lunch, while meeting existing business colleagues and making new connections.

The event was sponsored by Chamber business partner Cornish Mutual and guests moved to a different table between each course to maximise networking opportunities at the two-and-a-half hours event.

Stephen Henagulph, Chief Executive of Somerset Chamber of Commerce, welcomed guests to the lunch and gave a brief introduction about the work of the Chamber.

He said: “Moving between tables gives our guests a great opportunity to hear from different businesses and helps them create a broad spectrum of meaningful connections.

“Lunchtime networking is a great way to increase the profile of businesses, learn about others and start valuable business relationships with like-minded professionals.”

Guests also heard from Phil Wilson, Business Development Leader at Cornish Mutual, about the work of the South West-based insurance company which has customers in Somerset, Devon, Dorset and Cornwall.
