A CONCERT took place at Holy Trinity Church this weekend and it was a huge success.

WorleWind Band performed at Holy Trinity Church in Hamp Street on June 15.

The varied programme included a whole host of well-known tunes.

There was also some exciting choreography and atmospheric stage lighting.

The entertaining programme included Moon River, Rock around the Clock, Save the last dance for me and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious plus many more well-loved tunes.

Now in their tenth year, the WorleWind band has 60 committed professional and amateur musicians.

Musical Director, Julia Ractliffe, said: “We were delighted with the warm reception from the enthusiastic audience who clapped and cheered their way through the concert.

“They also awarded us a standing ovation at the end of the evening.”

The band are now embarking on a busy summer season with concerts in Weston-super-Mare, Weymouth and Wareham.

They will be back in the area on September 14 2019 for a lively concert in Edington village hall.
