STAFF at a village primary school were proud to drive home in their sparkling clean cars at the end of lessons on Friday.
And it was all thanks to Bishop's Hull Primary School pupil Will Garner, who gave 11 vehicles a wash for charity.
His efforts raised £38.50 for Taunton homeless charity ARC - with the added bonus for him that he was able to take time out from lessons.
Will, who is in Year 5, chose to support ARC after being given a list of local charities.
Teaching assistant Sharon Legrand said Will came up with the idea as part of a project he had been doing on cars.
She said: "Will did himself proud and really enjoyed doing it.
"He showed a lot of confidence and did a very good job.
"Staff were very generous and some who didn't have their cars cleaned also donated money.
"There were a lot of sparkly vehicles in the staff car park thanks to Will.
"The staff were delighted with his hard work."
