BUTLIN'S team members in Minehead raised more than £1,000 at their annual Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity Family Fun Day.

The event, on Sunday, was held at the town resort, hosted by Nathan Connor from Channel 5’s Milkshake.

There were shows and live performances, games and activities for the team and their families to enjoy, and money was raised from all the stalls, barbecue and refreshments.

The day also included an inter-department football tournament and a visit from the local police, fire and ambulance teams, and was attended by more than 500 people.

Butlin’s have had GOSH as their official brand charity partner since 2015, and have raised more than £650,000 across their three resorts and head office.

John Whybrow, operations manager at Butlin’s Minehead resort, said: “It was a great day and something our team love getting involved in. GOSH is such a great charity to work with as pretty much everyone is related to or knows a child who has benefitted from the amazing work the hospital does, and we are very proud to be able to play our part in making a difference to families who need their help.”
