ONE of the oldest shops in Taunton has closed after almost a century in the town.

Customers have bene informed that Ralph Colman has ceased trading.

The business, which was started in 1925, traded from large premises in Station Road.

It was previously based in a smaller store just yards away until it relocated a couple of years ago.

A notice in the shop window informs shocked customers: "Bike (UK) Limited trading as Ralph Colman Cycles, has ceased to trade.

"The directors have instructed insolvency practitioners from Leonard Curtis Recovery Limited, to assist them with this matter.
