CLOSED: The Ecco shoe shop in North Street, Taunton
THERE'S more bad news for Taunton town centre with the closure of shoe shop Ecco.
A notice in the shop window of the North Street store informs customers: "Unfortunately this store has now closed."
Another notice says the nearest Ecco shop is in Bath.
Two neighbouring shops - Steamer Trading Cookshop and Jones boot makers are also closed, while a further two premises nearby are also empty.
It comes after Ralph Colman Cycles, in Station Road, closed suddenly this week.
And the Bathstore, off Station Road, tattoo parlour Indelible Ince, in East Reach, and Clips hairdresser, in Roman Road, all announced they are to close.
