I HAVE just undergone cataract surgery and must thank the team of the Ophthalmology Department for the exceptional efficiency of the whole experience, from the reception to the very cheerful nurse with a good, clear voice for patients with hearing loss.
Tea and biscuits before and after the procedure which, thanks to the anaesthetist administering the local anaesthetic and the calming words and gentle touch of the surgeon, there was absolutely no discomfort during the whole operation.
The receptionist had telephoned my nephew to collect me - what service!
