YOUNG people in the Taunton area are being offered free heart checks.
There are still a number of places remaining for people aged 14 to 35 to be tested at the town's College Way Surgery on Saturday, August 17.
The screening sessions would normally cost £50 but are being funded in memory of Gary Edwards, who died aged 28 in his sleep from an undiagnosed heart condition four years ago.
His mother, Hilary Edwards, has spearheaded a fundraising campaign for the Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) charity to support the check ups.
