YOUNG Sophie Sheraton has helped raise an impressive £700 for The Alzheimer's Society.
The eight-year-old was joined by friend Amelia Kew for a bake sale at West Monkton Primary School which proved to be a big success.
Sophie was inspired to do something after her grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's aged 69.
Mum Carly says she is incredibly proud of her daughter for her positive attitude and hard work.
"We also need to thank West Monkton Primary School for hosting the event and helping us put it together, and Richard Smith of Way Ahead Care for his help, as well as all those who donated," Mrs Sheraton said.
"Thank you also to The Alzheimer's Society for providing balloons and banners."
