TEAM members from a Taunton-based company have set their sights on a steep charity challenge.

In two weeks time the 17-strong team from Claims Consortium Group will be tackling the Three Peaks Challenge in just 24 hours.

Ciaran Murphy, Rob Chilcott, Amy Andrews, Fran Moss, Martyn Sedlen, James Liepa, Harvey Lutpon, Tom Blundell, Ben Rutt, Amy Richardson, Sam Frost, Teddy Kocius, Kev Long, Denis O’ Leary, Oliver Przybsz, and Andrew Farrar will be taking on the athletic challenge to raise money for Insurance United Against Dementia.

Jeremy Hyams, CEO, said: “Dementia is the biggest killer in the UK, and the work that the IUAD is doing to raise awareness of dementia is incredibly important.

"We are proud to fly the flag for the South West based business and have been encouraging others to get involved and join our team.”

Chris Wallace, chairman of Insurance United Against Dementia, said: “It’s fantastic to see Claims Consortium getting behind the IUAD campaign. With half of us affected by dementia – either through diagnosis ourselves or through caring for a loved one – the time to act is now. I’m delighted to count Claims Consortium among our supporters who are taking action to bring us closer to new treatments for people with dementia. By taking on such a big challenge, the Claims Consortium team are bringing dementia into the spotlight, and paving the way in transforming people’s awareness and attitudes towards dementia”
