ALL good things must come to an end, but as the summer holidays draw to an end, it’s all systems go at Ilminster Arts Centre.

They are launching its new season of creative art and craft workshops.

The Arts Centre offers a range of hands-on courses, led by experienced and inspirational tutors, and catering for all levels of expertise.

Whether you’re a beginner wanting to learn the ropes or a more experienced artist wishing to expand your repertoire, Ilminster Arts Centre have something for everyone.

If you’re inspired to take up watercolour painting, Nicky Clarke’s Tuesday class offers advice and support for fledgling artists, and there are also classes in acrylic painting, oil painting and pastel pencils.

For those with an interest in textile art there are a plethora of workshops, some aimed at hand-stitchers, others involving sewing machines, such Paula Simpson’s Beginners’ Sewing Machine workshop which will teach you all the basic skills you need.

There are also courses in stained glass, collage, felt making - offering a fun and productive day out in Ilminster.

Places on all courses are limited to ensure that participants get all the attention and support they need - and advance booking is required. Full details are in the new season’s brochure and on the website.
