A TAUNTON charity is hosting an outdoor cinema event.

Stand Against Violence will be kicking off its annual Make A Stand month in September at Taunton Racecourse with an outdoor showing of Rocketman on Saturday, September 7.

The film, based on the life of musician Elton John, will be shown at the racecourse at 8pm.

There will also be a bar, street food and popcorn available.

Stand Against Violence founder and CEO Adam Fouracre said: “Stand Against Violence has always enjoyed a special and supportive relationship with the Taunton community, and this is a wonderful way for us to come together and enjoy a fantastic film in the great outdoors of Taunton Racecourse.”

Stand Against Violence is a registered charity, founded by Adam Fouracre following the tragic murder of his 17-year-old brother Lloyd, in 2005. The anniversary of his death is on September 25.

The charity aims to reduce violence, its long-term consequences and the grief of losing loved ones, through violence prevention workshops and talks at schools, colleges, businesses and community groups across the UK.
