A CHURCH will be filled with colour as Burnham-on-Sea’s Festival of Flowers and Quilts returns.
From September 12 to 14 quilters and flower arrangers from churches and groups around the town will create dazzling floral arrangements and show off their quilted creations at the free event at Our Lady and The English Martyrs Church in Highbridge Road.
The event will run from 10am to 5pm on Thursday and Friday and 10am to 4.30pm on Saturday.
Pat Nicholls, co-organiser of the event, said: “A special feature this year is an African Corner, with quilts and flowers inspired by that continent. It will be a great addition.
"Several local businesses have sponsored the festival which is free to enter, with a donations jar to help defray the costs.
"Tea and cake will be on sale, and there will be plenty of places to sit and relax."
