A MINEHEAD woman who has bravely battled against breast cancer has been chosen the model in a glitzy charity event at the National Fashion Show in London.
Eve Boyd-Payne was just 27 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 but fast-forward two years and although she is navigating the lasting impact of the condition, she is making a healthy recovery.
Eve said: "Breast Cancer Care have been there for me throughout that journey, in many ways from using their helpline to attending events.
"I was lucky enough to be chosen to be a model for their National Fashion Show event.
"The others I’ll be joining are an inspirational bunch all who have had a diagnosis of breast cancer.
"They have seen me through some of my darkest times, and I’m so privileged to have the opportunity to give back to them."
The black-tie event is often attended by high profile celebrities and last year's show raised more than £280,000 for the charity.
