KIND-HEARTED youngster Jack Dickinson has completed a superb charity cycling to help people in need.
Jack had visited Bridgwater Foodbank earlier in the year with his Beavers group, and felt inspired to do something to help.
He set himself the challenge over the summer holidays to cycle 100 miles in the hope that people would sponsor him by donating items to the Foodbank.
Joined by his brother Charlie, the duo managed to complete the challenge a few days before the start of school.
Before setting out, the pair contacted the Trussell Trust and they were each sent goody bag to help get them started.
Immediately motivated, they got to work and put posters up in local village businesses and organisations including Wembdon Stores, Parish Centre and The Green.
Jack and his family created a blog to help show how they were getting on throughout the summer, and spread the word through a local Facebook page.
Overall Jack smashed his target of 100 items, with people donating 280 items the to the Foodbank, equating to more than 121kgs.
Ann and Keith Barnard of the Foodbank have received all the items and thrilled with the donations.
Jack and his family would like to thank everyone who donated, and Jack says he is looking forward to another fundraising adventure.
