A BIG name cafe chain has confirmed it will be opening its Taunton location in November.

Boston Tea Party is set to open in the former Prezzo building in Fore Street.

Renovations are currently underway to complete the new cafe - which will bring 30 new jobs to town.

The Bristol-based company prides itself on its ethically sourced food and drink, and has also banned single-use coffee cups.

Boston Tea Party (BTP), the purposeful café chain is opening their latest café in Taunton in November.

The Bristol-based company will unveil its 23rd café in Fore Street. Renovations are underway to complete the new café and is due to open in November creating 30 new jobs for the town, and offering a spacious, 150-seated restaurant with a secret garden terrace.

If you want a take away coffee from BTP you have to use a reusable cup, you can bring any mug from home, borrow from their fully refundable loan scheme or buy one at a subsidised price from £4.25 (which included your first drink for free)..

To date BTP have stopped over 200’000 single use cups from going to landfill.

Sam Roberts, Co-owner of Boston Tea Party, said: “We’ve been on the look-out for a site in Taunton for a while now, and are over the moon to have found ours on Fore street.

"Each of our cafes are unique and designed to be sympathetic to the building and its surroundings.

"We want BTP to be a social hub, a place to share good food and drinks, we are looking forward to serving the community from November.”

BTP is now recruiting for staff to fill the 30 positions, with management, front of house, chef and barista roles available.
