THESE are the men and women dubbed Hampshire's "most wanted".

The mugshots feature as part of a campaign by charity Crimestoppers, which launches across the county today.

The men and women are wanted for a variety of alleged crimes, including serious assault, robbery and even human rights offences.

As part of today's launch, Crimestoppers are driving around the county in an advertising van, displaying the mugshots to people across Hampshire.

The charity is set to arrive in Basingstoke on Friday, where the van will be parked up near to the Willis Museum.

Last year’s Hampshire Most Wanted campaign resulted in ten out of 18 people being found.

Within a few hours of the campaign launch, a member of the public who saw the Advan, passed on information about one of the wanted individuals who was nearby.

This led to them being found and arrested later the same day.

Crimestoppers' national Most Wanted website received more than 20,000 views last month alone.

Crimestoppers charity launched its UK's Most Wanted in 2005 and has been highly successful with over 4,300 arrests to date.

Emily van der Lely, Regional Manager for Crimestoppers in Hampshire, said: “I am proud that our charity gives people the power to speak up and stop crime completely anonymously. Hampshire is a comparatively safe county. There are however people at large who are wanted by law enforcement.

“Our Most Wanted campaign can only be successful if the public are willing to help us protect those they love and the communities they care about. I encourage everyone to check our website and let us know immediately if you have any information on any of the individuals. You are the one that can make a difference.

“You can call us on 0800 555 111 or visit Crimestoppers-uk.org/most-wanted.

"As a charity, we ensure you won’t have to give your personal details, just tell us what you know and we’ll pass it on for you.”
