A TALENTED aspiring journalist said he feels 'lucky' after interviewing the Prime Minister for the second time in two months.

Dawson Panter-Wray, 12, who attends The King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge, was part of the first ever Children's Lobby in Britain to interview PM Boris Johnson in Downing Street.

The 12-year-old asked Mr Johnson if he is still planning to cycle now that he is PM which was seen by millions of people around the world as it was broadcast live.

During his trip to London, Dawson also had the chance to go on a tour of Number 10 and the cabinet room, have photos taken outside Number 10 and meet the famous Downing Street cat, Larry.

Speaking about his visit to Number 10, Dawson said: “We were so lucky. We got to speak to a variety of political news correspondents from multiple news networks, and even met the government's Chief Mouser, Larry the cat.

“It all helped to improve our journalism knowledge and skills.

"This is just one of the benefits the Jill Dando journalists have been able to receive from our school and TPLT over the past year.”

Dawson interviewed Mr Johnson for the first time earlier this year at The Jill Dando News Centre at the school and is now back at school helping to recruit more Jill Dando reporters among the students.
