BRIDGWATER and West Somerset MP Ian Liddell-Grainger is calling on his constituents to read the full Yellowhammer report about 'worst case scenarios' in the event of a No Deal Brexit.
The document was compiled in June and July and circulated within government on August 2.
Mr Liddell-Grainger has published the full document on his website liddellgrainger.org.uk.
“I believe it is important that people should read the complete document, not just highlights in the national press.
"The opposition is sensationalising the real risks. The facts are different.
"This report is extremely carefully worded. It never says such-and-such will happen.
"It only says there might be problems. In any case the report is way out of date.
"The government has spent millions on contingency planning. The current worst-case scenario is far from scary.
"My message is stay calm. And remember that the government is still working flat out to get a new deal.”
