SOMERSET Art Weeks begins this weekend and there are some wonderful events taking place in South Somerset.
At the Village Hall in Bishopswood, Chard, there will be an exhibition entitled Back Over the Hill with June Dobson, Zena Parker, Rebecca Bruton, and Robert Parker. The exhibition will include a range of ceramics, printed artwork, textile art and woodwork.
At Tithe Barn in Cotley, Chard, there will be an exhibition called Grounded, with a mixture of drawing, painting, installation, film and sound. There will be many artists exhibiting work including Alice Crane, Tim Martin, Michael Calver, Jenny Mellings and Liz Gregory.
Mal Lee is exhibiting her abstract and impressionistic landscape and seascape at Willow View, Pottery Road, Horton in Ilminster.
Rose Mills Industrial Estate also have a few displays - one in Millhouse Arts filled with and eclectic and exciting mix of contemporary and traditional art and craft. There will also be a display of glass, mixed media, textile and fashion in Unit 3 of Rose Mills with Charlotte Martin, Liz Sparkes and Julie Powell.
