FIFTY business women from across the county enjoyed an afternoon of networking plus a cream tea at Somerset Chamber of Commerce’s ever popular ladies’ afternoon tea, which was held at Northover Manor, in Ilchester.

Eva Wealth Management for Women sponsored the afternoon. Founder Sarah Roughsedge gave an insight into her company and its aim to help women take control of their financial future with bespoke financial plans.

She said too often women asked her what they should do with their money rather than first thinking about where they wanted to be in the future.

The highlight of the afternoon was a presentation from Kenda Macdonald, of behaviour marketing specialists Automation Ninjas. Kenda gave a fascinating talk about the psychology behind linking customers to goods to boost sales and making the customer journey as easy and enjoyable as possible.

She outlined some of the emotional triggers which led to customers buying products and said the number one decision for people to choose one business over another was the customer experience.

Kenda said: “It is all about linking the consumer to the goods to boost sales. It’s knowing the emotional triggers and delivering a quality experience to give the consumer an even better reward.”

Jenn Chidley-Sanders, Somerset Chamber’s Membership Engagement and Policy Manager, thanked everyone for attending the event and Sarah and Kenda for their sponsorship and support.
