CURRY Mallet-based FLANCI activewear has been nominated in The Running Awards 2020 alongside sports giants Nike, Asics and Ronhill.

The business, owned by Nicky and Alf Chrascina, is going head to head with the big brands in the categories of women’s clothing, men’s clothing, online retailer and customer service.

Nicky said: “It’s just incredible to think we’re even up against some of these household names in the world of running and sport.

“It would be amazing if a small business like ours could get recognition for our products, which are made with runners in mind, and created with the help of our very own Wellington-based designer, Jan Olive.

“To be up against the likes of Nike, Sweaty Betty, Ronhill and Asics, is just overwhelming and shows that our customers really believe in us. We just hope we can now encourage enough people to vote for our growing Somerset business.”

The business, known for its vibrant and colourful running leggings, skorts, and capris, is supported by the elite record-breaking marathon runner Adam Holland, who is proud to be brand ambassador for the company.

To vote for the Curry Mallet business to be in with a chance of getting ahead of the multi-national sportswear leaders, head over to therunningawards.com and select FLANCI in the four categories.

A shortlist will be revealed in December, and winners announced at The Running Awards 2020 events, to be announced at a later date.
