SEVERAL people have left floral tributes outside a village pub where the landlord died suddenly.

A note posted on the door of The Old Inn, in Bishop's Hull, informs customers that it will be closed until further notice "due to unforeseen circumstances".

Barry Hadley was found dead in the cellar of the pub at lunchtime on Friday.

A spokesman for Ei Publican Partnership, which owns the Old Inn, said it is assisting the police with their enquiries.

He added: "We would like to offer Mr Hadley’s family and friends our deepest and most sincere condolences and have also offered them our full support."

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said Mr Hadley's death was not being treated as suspicious.
