AM I alone in thinking that the display of red poppies throughout the town rightly drawing our attention to remembering all those who died in two world wars for the country should be tempered by simultaneously displaying white poppies to draw our attention to the horrors of war?

Indeed, shouldn’t the term ‘bravery’ be given to those who risked their lives caring for the wounded in the ambulance corps and those who appeared before tribunals under the Conscientious Objectors Act risking imprisonment in effect saying ‘war is not the answer’?
